Need help:
I've been working on my geneology for over 20 years, and have been at the same dead end for almost as much time. I have reached my great grandparents but many of the family who knew more are no longer living. on a recent trip to guatemala (where both my parents and a large part of my family is from) I attempted to find documents and research on my family but kept getting turned around and sent to the same places and told the same things. Can anyone help me find a site or society in guatemala that can help.
Or if anyone has any relationship to Dominga Delgado Avila who married Manuel Soto Arana. Her mother it is believed was names Felisa or elisa Avila. or (f)elisa's mother catarina Avila d'avila. may 11, 1909 is either a birth or death date and it's believed that catarina was originally from germany.
or Petronila Enriquez Flores born in el progresso, died and buried in taxisco. her parents Rosendo Enriquez Salvatierra and mariana flores also from el progresso or Rosendo's parents Guillermo Enriquea Catalan and Bacilia Salvatierra

I'm seeking some further information about my grandmother Florence Paris born in Colon, Pamana in 1926. More specifically, I would like to get some information about her parents whom I have no knowledge about. Her mother may have possibly been born in Panama City, Panama and her father in Barbados (city unknown). Florence moved to the US (year unknown) and lived in Brooklyn, NY since. She has children by the names of Vielka, Maritza, Mayra, Mirna, DIlsia, and Laura.

My great grandfather, William E.Godman, is buried in the Quirigua Hospital cemetery. I am hoping to find someone that will be visiting this part of Guatemala, that can look up the grave site, and take some photos. There is also the grave of Dr. Neil Percy Macphail, who operated the hospital until his death in 1949.

Hello everyone, it seems that I have run into a slight road block. I talked to my great uncle and he was able to give me ancestry information 5 generations back. The problem i'm having is getting a source to search Guatemalan birth records dating that far back. Anyone know of a way I can find these records? I am somewhat new and would appreciate help.

hello........just wanted to get some more info from you and provide a bit more info on my side......does the name Jose Luis mean anything?? Are any of your relatives from Italy?? so if he was your great grandfather then can you tell me when he was born?? Maybe in the 1930s? I have so many questions and I'm so curious. There are not not a lot of Batres in that area.....so my guess is a lot of them are related.please email me so we can talk.....I really would love too know what you know since I have been searching for so many years.

Pedro & Maria Anita immigrated to the Hawaiian Islands from British Honduras between 1911 and 1912 with their six children: Lucita Gregoria, Florita Vargas, Joaquim Santos, Nina, Victor Manuel & Eliseo Fontes.

My mom was born 3 months after her dad past way in 1944. His family lived in Guatemala city his brothers name is Manuel Jimenez Archila originally from San Juan Zacapestepes. My mom met him when she was young but a big earthquake hit around 1975/1976 and she could not find him again.

I guess out the door Mazariegos is pretty common. My grandfather was Calderon Mazariegos, from San Marcos Guatemala. I met him once when I was a kid. Just the Calderon Mazariegos appear to be a very big family.

Alguen sabe algo o tiene familia que son Calderon Mazariegos o Calderon de San Marcos. Mi abuelo se llamabe Flavio Alberto Calderon Mazariegos. You need to go through the Embassy/consulate when researching Cuba in the U.S. due to the political issues. You may have to fill out a form via the FOIA (Freedm of Information Act) website. The consulate is in Washington, DC and they can assist you. They can also advise if there is another way around the FOIA request.
