Surnames: VIELMAN, VIELMA, BIELMAN, PELLECER, MONTESDEOCA, ARMAS, AREVALO
We are studying and researching the Vielman, Pellecer, Armas, Arevalo, Montesdeoca, and related families from Jocotenango and Antigua-Guatemala. It appears that they attended church at San Sebastian in Antigua Guatemala and they are mentioned in the baptism and marriage registers clear back to at least 1781. Vielman was also spelled Vielma, Bielma, and Bielman. Pellecer may have been spelled Pelleger.

Three Vielman's appear to have been head of families around 1790s: Tomas, Balthazar, and Vicente. Tomas Vielman was married to Maria Montesdeoca and Regino Vielman was married to Concepcion Armas. We have been told that the Vielman family may have come from Germany. If you have any additional information about the Vielman family of Jocotenango and Antigua-Guatemala, we would be most grateful. Thank you.
