When in doubt, I always check wikipedia: La Ceiba is in Honduras, also referred to as Spanish Honduras to differentiate it from British Honduras, which became the modern-day state of Belize.

So I think this answers your question, one was born in 'British' Honduras/Belize the other in 'Spanish' Honduras.
