EAST STROUDSBURG, PA - Anna Chromicky, 88, of Pocono Lutheran Village in East Stroudsburg, PA, formerly of Hightstown, passed away Saturday at the Brookmont Health Care Center in Effort, PA. Anna was the wife of the late Joseph Chromicky who passed away in 1976. She was born in Rovensko, Czechoslovakia on Aug. 16, 1919. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marisa Mrazek. Anna had worked as a cashier for Shop-Rite in Hightstown for over 20 years until retiring and was a member of the Cashier's Union. She was a member of The Resurrection Lutheran Church in Hamilton Square. She was also a member of the American Czechoslovak Farmers Club in Hightstown. Anna is survived by two loving and devoted daughters, JoAnn Chromicky of Brodheadsville, PA and Carol Chromicky and her husband Jeff Biringer of New Cumberland, PA; a sister, Marisa Mrazek of Slovakia; a brother, Milos Mrazek of Slovakia; two grandchildren, Jesse Biringer of Philadelphia, PA and Max Biringer of Ithaca, NY. Funeral service will begin 11 a.m. Saturday at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Hamilton Square with the Rev. Charles Ferreri officiating. Interment will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hightstown. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. Saturday until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Resurrection Lutheran Church, 4315 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690. The Donald N. Gower Funeral Home Inc., Route 209, Gilbert, PA is in charge of arrangements.
