Here's the information that I have on my family. My great-grandparents, George Trojcak and wife Elizabeth Levi Trojcak immigrated with infant daughter Anna around 1890. The story from family members is that George was involved in the death of a police officer and that's the reason for the move to the states. I don't know the circumstances around the story. George's naturalization record lists only that he was from Austria and mentions no other birthplace, town, city, village or county of origin. Nor does his death record or the death record for Elizabeth. I've been unsuccessful in finding any Naturalization record for Elizabeth or their daughter Anna. I've been completely unsuccessful in finding his immigration records from Ellis Island or Castle Garden.

I understand from a gentleman in Slovakia that George's name was probably Americanized from Juraj Trojcsak. Another posting yielded possible locations as:
