I've come across an old newspaper clipping in our family archives of a wedding that took place in Bridgeport CT probably around 1910 to 1920 or so. The text is as follows:
Article entitled: Dr. and Mrs. A. J. Sekerak and Bridal Attendants
MEMBERS OF THE SEKERAK-HRUBY BRIDAL PARTY: Miss Pauline Hruby, RN, daughter of Veronica Hruby of 2060 Boston Avenue, became the bride of Dr. Arthur Joseph Sekerak, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sekerak of 408 Barnum Avenue, Thursday morning at 9:30 o'clock in St. John's Nep. R. C. Church.
Rev. Michael Romanzak of the Sacred Heart Church, Rockaway, NJ, a cousin of the groom, was celebrant of the solemn nuptial mass and also performed the ceremony.
Wilma Hruby was her sister's maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Miss Regina Sekerak, Miss Sophie Sekerak and Miss Margaret Galowitz. Dr. Raymond Sekerak served as best man for his brother and the usher corps included: Dr. Albert Sekerak, cousin of the bridegroom, Paul Hruby, the bride's brother and Richard Sekerak, the bridegroom's brother.
A reception for the immediate families and few intimate friends followed the ceremony at the Stratfield Hotel after which the couple left on a motor wedding trip to Nova Scotia. Upon their return they will reside at 408 Barnum Avenue.
