I am researching the surnames Mikolaj, Balik, Borovian and Billej. Michal Balik married Anna Billej in 1881 in Lubotice-Presov. Andrej Mikolaj married Zuzannu Borovian 1881 in Trme, Sarisky County. Both families came to Bethlehem Pennsylvania USA around 1885 to work in the Steel mills. Michal changed his last name to Smith, Andrej changed his to Nicholas. I cant locate Trme on a map or find any infomation on these names in Slovakia - any help would be greatly appretiated. Michal kept in touch with his Slovak cousins until his death in 1935. Are there any Slovak websites where Slovaks are trying to find American relatives?
