I've determined that my GG grandfather and children came from Lekno, Poland and settled in Arnot, Tioga County, PA in late 1860s, settling later in northern Cambria Co., PA. I am very interested in conducting more research in Lekno (near Wagrowiac) Poland but beyond LDS files, do not know how to begin research there. I would anticipate visiting Lekno, but would like to know whether anyone has actually been there, visited Sts. Peter and Paul Church, or can give any insight on research further in Poland. My goal is to find more ancestors and, more importantly, some common descendents who still live in the Lekno area. Can anyone offer advice, particularly if you've visited Lekno.
