Thank you for your information--I spent the better of two whole days trying to locate my village-town on a map with my original spelling taken from a Polish Newspaper on microfilm found in Milwaukee. Actually narrowed the area down by myself and then I found some luck--located my people in parish records right here on the net! The parish records helped me to correct my incorrect spelling. Only took me 25 years to locate my Grandfathers birth record!
My husbands family are all from Poland--but let me tell you--they speak, read and write Polish--but when it comes to translating into English--they aren't any better than I am with Polish! :) Their English isn't good and I don't have a clue with Polish. So, let me thank you again for your efforts. Every little bit helps. Will also help others--I'm sure!!
