Looking for any information on these surnames in the Posen area. I have a Michal (Michael) Sobczak who was born 1867 in Posen. He married Constance Nowak born abt. 1868 in Posen. They came with their 10 children to Milwaukee, WI around 1913. I don't know if Sobczak was their true polish name or if it was slightly altered, their first names were slightly changed when they came to the US. I know their headstones have their true polish first names & say Sobczak. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
