This is new information to a previous posting...My g g grandmother, Werenika (Verna) (Mackowiak) Banaszak re-married after her husband's death (Joseph Banaszak) to Felix Staszak and came to Beaver, Michigan, USA. (I believe that they may have been "related (in-laws?)", as many widows re-married into their husbands family).

We believe that they came through Canada. She died in 1894, leaving her children, Katherine Ratajczak, Josephine Krawczyk and Vincent and John Banaszak. The living relatives (children of Vincent) say that a family from Wisconsin, USA, would come and visit in the summers. I know that among them was a Catholic priest, Frances Banaszak, who's parish was in Detroit, MI.
