I have scoured google looking for information, but can not find any. My husbands great grandfather was killed in a roundup in the area he and his family lived in during 1939 Poland. Reading the story of the Wawer Massacre, the story I have heard in the family sounds similar. I have yet to ask my in laws for confirmation if this was indeed the town where this happened, but the year of death would match, I do know there were other roundups of Catholic men and their families as the Nazi's moved forward during this time. Does anyone know of a source of the names that can be found at the Wawer Memorial? I was able to locate a few photos online of the Memorial, however can not read any names. If anyone knows of any links that can help me out I'd appreciate it. TIA!
