Hi,

My ancestor Carl Friedrich Rödeler (also spelled as Roedler, Rodeler, Raedler) was born 7 Dec 1824 in Chełmsko Śląskie. He departed for the United States from Hamburg on 23 Oct 1869 and arrived in New Orleans. He died in 12 Oct 1882 in Lee County, Texas. His son, Robert R Roedler, was born in the same town as his father on 5 Mar 1859 and died on 27 Jan 1920 in Copperas Cove, Texas. I cannot find any information on the rest of his family or who Robert's mother was but I do know Robert had a sister who I believe was younger than him. This is my only Polish born ancestor and I do not know where to start on finding records from Poland. If anyone can help me find records or point me in the right direction, I would be very greatful!
