Locating records of marriages in Breslau in late 1800s

Classification: Query
Surnames: Probanski, Schmidt, Ender
I have great grandparents, John (Johann?) Probanski, and Ernestine Rose (Rosa?) Schmidt (Probanski), who immigrated to New York City in 1881. I can find records showing their immigration to the U. S., and residence in NYC, and my aunt (their grandchild) says that they were born, and presumably married, in Breslau.

I cannot, however, find any records of these people before their immigration, though ship passenger manifests show their last place of residence was Breslau, Schlesien (Slaskie).

Does anyone have any information about these people? My aunt says that Ernestine's parents were Adolph Schmidt and Ernestine Rose (or Rosa) Ender, but I have no information regarding birth, death, or residence of Ernestine's parents.

Any help in tracking down these ancestors prior to their arrival in the U.S. would be appreciated.

John Probanski - b. 1850, d. 1909
Ernestine Rose (or Rosa) Schmidt Probanski - b.1865, d. 1943 (departure and arrival records list her as simply "Rosa" Probanski)
