We're looking for information about August Ferdinand Wilhelm Kroening (Kroning) who was born in Luebzin near Stettin, Germany (now Poland) in 1857. He immigrated to the USA and settled in Marathon County, WI in 1881.
We know that he attended a Lutheran church in Wisconsin; does anyone have any information about Lutheran churches around this area where I may be able to get records?

We believe that his father's name was Carl Kroning and his mother was Wilhelmina Defried. We also believe that he had a brother named Robert Hermann Erdmann Kroening (Kroning) who was also born in Luebzin.
