Classification: Query
Surnames: HARTKE, KROEPEL, KAOPEL
My grandmother wrote up her ancestry, and shows her ggrandfather as:
William (Wilhelm or William J Senior), John Hartke b. 11 NOV 1834 Kerschkow, Pommern, Germany; d. 23 FEB 1917 Saint Louis, Missouri, USA
MARRIED
Caroline (Karoline) KROEPEL (KAOPEL) b. 8 APR 1848 Pommern, Germany; d. 2 MAY 1920 Saint Louis, Missouri, USA
She had three children listed:
Children
Augusta Hartke 1858–1915
Hermina Minnie Hartke 1879–1949
William John Hartke 1885–1960
My grandma didn't have any information on Caroline's family, and I haven't been able to locate anything myself. You've helped me a bit by giving me Ossecken; I've only been able to get as far as Kerschkow. I hope this helps you.
