Samuel Lapowski (1838-1912) emigrated to the US in 1868 along with 2 of his 4 brothers, Jacob and Ludwig. Thay may have come from Lomza. They attended university in Warsaw.

Their parents Joshua Lapowski and Paulina (Dillon) and the Lapowski family had land holdings in the Lomza area, were active in agriculture and raising horses.

Any leads as to the Lapowski family and the Dillon line in Poland would be appreciated.
