MG,
Your welcome. I have never researched the Kotarski family. I've been concentrating on the Harasim side, but of course the Kotarski's are integral to that family, so I am interested. Monika Kotarska, who married my great uncle Walter Harasim, survived Walter, and insured that the farm in Mikolajowek stayed in Harasim hands, where it had been for at least 140 years.
Your timeline assumption is valid, as Michal Harasim on the bottom line was married at age 23, in 1872. This means that the bottom line could actually span a period of 10 or so years earlier, to a span of 10 so years later, but definitely spanning the 1850's.
Several times now I have been to the Church in Janowka where the LDS Microfilms reference and the actual books that were microfilmed are located. They are in the Pastor’s office and this past August I met him, and I touched the books with my own hands. They are ancient and frail: one book to the 1700's. There are no additional books however: what LDS has it what they have: the rest destroyed in the war.
Let's keep sharing the research. We may uncover some additional clues that tie the whole thing together yet!
