Interestingly enough, I was cleaning out my grandfather's crawl-space when I came across a Saint's Card given out at the funeral of my great-grandmother: Sophia Losiewicz.

Up until finding the card I was under the assumption my last name was spelled Lasiewicz. An 'a' instead of an 'o'.

I asked my grandfather the reason for this difference. It seems the doctor changed the spelling for Thaddeus (my grandfather) and Helen (his sister) at their births.

This is the first I've investigated into the Losiewicz family tree. I hope to find out more. Thank you for shedding some light on this truly engaging fact finding mission.
