Hello,
I am looking for any possible information on Michelina Boulak (Michelena/Lena Bulak, Bullock Bullich Gollich Gollick) of Stary Rogozyn, Lipsk, Augustow, Podlaski, Poland.
Michelena/Michelina Boulak (called "Lena") was born around 1891 and came to New York around 1909 to settle on Long Island. On October 4, 1914, she married George Jarmusik (Muscih, Musick, Weirmusick, Jermusyk) in Cutchogue, Suffolk, New York. According to their marriage certificate, Michelena was the daughter of "Joe Gollich" and "Eva Waschuk".
Before she married George, she married a Kowalcuk, whether in Poland or New York, I do not know, and had two sons: John and Frank.
According to newspaper articles, Lena also had two brothers who came to the US with her: Conrad and Joseph Jr. Conrad was born August 29, 1883, possibly also in Stary Rogozyn. In one US Census, Conrad is found living with his father, Joseph Sr., who states he was born around 1845 in Poland.
I have seen the family name spelled many different ways. Alternately, the family has been called Boulak, Bulak, Bullock, Bollich, Gollich, Gollick, Golak and others.
Any help or information on this family in Poland and/or their ancestry would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you very much for your time and consideration!
Sincerely,
Mike
