My maternal great grandfather's name was Ludwik Traczewski. I have seen several different spellings of his last name throughout my research so I thought I would respond since "Taras(i)ewicz" is very similar. Ludwik's naturalization records indicate that he came over on Oct. 10, 1910 from Adamowo Russia Poland on the ship Cleveland. His parents (found on marriage license) were Mateusz Traczewski and Josepha Scinjas. Ludwik owned a butcher shop in Jersey City and eventually met/married Czelawa Jaworska.
