My grandmother is Anna Maczyta, born 14 Sep 1897 in Czarna, which is about 10 miles east of Polanczyk. She arr. Ellis Island on Jun 23, 1912 aboard Kaiserin Auguste Victoria out of Hamburg, & moved to Pittsburgh, PA.

Her parents were Hoyc Maczyta & Katarina Kryl.

She may have had an uncle Ivan Maczyta from nearby Tworylne, which I understand was burned to the ground in 1946.

I haven't the foggiest idea how to trace her family in Czarna.
