Wladyslaw, thank you for the information, I also did as you suggested at http//tel.portal.pl/asp/szukaj_a.asp and I did not find an address for Kazimiera Posobiec.

Two other names showed:

Bogumila Posobiec
ul.Lipy
Lezajsk
woj.podkarpackie
powiat: lezajski

Emilia Posobiec
u. Katy
Lezajsk,
woj.podkarpackie
powiat: lezajsk

Are these actuall addresses of the two above people, since there are no numbers for addresses.

Are they also in the area I am looking to find information in?

Thank You
Alan

Alan,
Bogumila and Emilia are from Lezajsk.
Lezajsk is small city and streets are short.
# 's are not important.

If you print in window Wierzawice, is information
about Kazimiera and Mieczyslaw.
Yes it is actuall information in this "phone book".

I think that a few $'s for letters will give you direction
for furure search or you will have contact with cusins.

I did not found Posobiec in Lancut and Lezajsk
with Wierzawice are places for your search.
Open; www. pilot.pl and in windiw print lezajsk,
click on POKAZ [=show] and yuo see 3-4 mi
SE from Lezajsk village Wierzawice.

Good luck in your search,
Wladyslaw

Wladyslaw,

Hi, I wasn't able to find an address for Mrs Kazimiera Posobiec, are they a married couple or perhaps brother and sister?

I have written 3 letters, and would like to know how much american money I should enclose to make them interested. Would $5.00 per each person be enough?

Alen,
do not send money in letters !!!
Somebody will steal letter and money and you
will ruin contact with possible relatives !!
Good luck in your search,
Wladyslaw

I wish to thank everyone who assisted me in finding the Posobiec families. I wrote letters to the addresses, and they all responded. It seems that the Posobiec people are all related, and from the same Village. They have provided me with church records, and an invitation to visit them, both in the United States, as well as in the village of Wierzawice, and Lezajsk.

Again, many thanks to all of you who helped! I always felt that my grandmothers family would remain a mystery.

Renard,

Funny enough, being a migrant to Australia I don't have a lot to do with finding info w.r.t. Australia. Forunately I married an Austrailian who does some research w.r.t. Australia. We are members of the Society of Australian Genealogists. They have a pretty good web site that will hopefully lead you to sources for info w.r.t. Australia. Thier web site is http://www.sag.org.au/

Good luck.
