Surnames: CYRYS, KOENIG, RINK, BARCIK District: Murow
Town(s): Grabczok, Kupp, Murow I am researching any links to my known family in Opole, Silesia. My ggg-grandfather Franz CYRYS (sometimes spelled CYRIS) was born in Grabczok, near Murow in about 1810. He married Maria KOENIG who was born about 1817 in Murow. The couple had at least three children, all born in Grabczok: Franz CYRYS (born 25 April 1845), Caroline CYRYS (born about 1848), and Joseph CYRYS (born about 1850). The younger Franz married Maria RINK (b: 12 May 1850 to Stephan RINK and Maria BARCIK of the town of Kupp). Franz and Maria had at least seven children: Theodor CYRYS (my g-grandfather, born 18 Apr 1879), Johann CYRYS, Peter CYRYS, Paul CYRYS (died in WWI), Hedwig CYRYS, Gertrud CYRYS, and Liesbetts CYRYS. I know there are other American descendants of this line and am interested in locating them as well as any relatives remaining in or near Grabczok and Murow. Submitted by: Robert M.
