My grandfather was Joseph Rapski from Portage and I understand he and your great-grandfather, Frank, were cousins, eventhough your great-grandfather's obit says Joseph is his brother. I've been told by my mother that when she was dating my father, they would take my grandmother, Joseph's wife Sophie, to visit your great-grandmother and that they were cousins of my grandfather. That is how we knew the obituary was wrong.

Barb and I have been trying to figure out the connection between my grandfather Joseph Rapski, your great-grandfather Frank Rapsky and her great-grandmother Rozalia Szewczyk/Rapsky/Godlewski. According to your great-grandfather's obituary, he is buried in St. Mary's Church cemetery, although his name is not listed in the index of names online at the Cambria County site. If you do not have your great-grandfather's obituary, I'd be more than happy to email it to you.
