Penksa-Nawiacz, Bialka; Lojas-Kasperek, Szaflary

I would like to find out more about PENKSA, Jakub oo NAWIACZ, Katarzyna, Bialka, and LOJAS, Jan oo KASPEREK or GASPERIC, Agnes (or Maria in the ship manifest), Szaflary.

I have plenty of information on their children Franciszek J. PENKSA (son of PENKSA, Jakub and NAWIACZ, Katarzyna, * Bialka, district of Nowy Targ, SEP 09, 1891 + Chicago JAN 22, 1966) resp. Helena LOJAS (daughter of LOJAS, Jan and KASPEREK or GASPERIC, Agnes (or Maria in the ship manifest), * Szaflary, district of Nowy Targ JULY 15, 1894 + Chicago AUG 03, 1939) after immigration to the US.

As to the Lojas family from Szaflary, there seems to be a connection between Helena Lojas, her brother Jan Lojas, and a KOSLA family that may have raised or adopted Helen and her brother Jan (born abt. 1898) who travel with her when they emigrated to the US in Dec 1908. They were 15 resp. 10 years old at the time and were going to join their father in Chicago.

I would also like to find out if there is a connection between the Franciszek J. PENKSA-Helena LOJAS family and the Maciej PENKSA-Magdalena OBRYK family I’m researching -- see my posts at

Both Penksa families are connected to my ancestors in some way, but I have not found out yet if it is by marriage, blood relationship, or close friendship.

Any info that helps solve these puzzles is appreciated.
