I am in the process of trying to find Sasiadek relatives. I know the ancestral village was Zarubince, near Zbaraz, near Ternopil in Poland and they lived there for over 100 years up until 1945, where, as Poles, were resettled due to WW2 boundary changes.
The family then moved to Zielona Gora (and the surrounding villages including Sokola Dabrowa, where my great, great uncle Piotr Sasiadek was a priest) , Lubuskie.
Any help as to how I should go bout finding information or if anyone has information/is related I would be most grateful

Ben Skliar

GRACZYK from Wystok, Sulecin, Lubuskie, Poland

My ancestor Walenty Graczyk was born in Wystok in/about 1866. He married Anna Piasecka in/about 1891 and came to America within a year (Apr. 1891), on a ship from Hamburg to NYC, settling in Buffalo, NY. His brothers, Michal Graczyk and Jan Graczyk, also made the trip to Buffalo in 1910, on a ship from Hamburg to Philadelphia.
I am hoping to learn the parents of Walenty, Michal, and Jan. Michal was born in 1870 and Jan was born on May 15, 1883. It was Jan's Naturalization Records that helped me find this place of origin. He listed it "Bisctak", but I am nearly certain it should've been Wystok due to similar pronunciations. I also want to learn the parents of Anna Piasecka, who was supposively born in "STOLCE", but this may have been a misspelling and meant to have said Sulecin. She was born in 1871 and had a brother Walenty Piasecki born 1874, who later came to Buffalo in 1903.
Any help appreciated.

This family emigrated from Wurttemberg to Schrottersdorf (also called Skrzetustewie), Poland in the early 1800's. Wilhelm Kronenberger died there on 16 August 1818. His wife, Anna Christine, died 12 December 1851 at Powsino, Poland. Son was Christoph Kronenberger, born 25 Sept. 1811 in Schrottersdorf in 1811; died 1893 in Biala; married Karolina Wolf, born in Schrottersdorf in 1814; died in Maszewo, Poland on 26 December 1879. Their sons, both born Maszewo, were Johann, born 18 January 1841; and Daniel, born 6 June 1848. I would like more information about the
family.
Verkofskie, Seretka, Haick

Looking for anyone with any of the above surnames. Please note that Seretka's in the US were renamed "Silkie".

Louisa and Paulena Verkofskie were born in Ilowa in 1851 and 1857. Their parents were Carl and Louisa (Faeki)Verkofskie. Rumor has it that their real last name was something like "Vaulters" and that the Verkofskie was the step-father's last name.

Supposedly, both were descendents of Kaiser Wilhelm (I presume from the 1600s? Their gr-grandmother married on of the Kaiser's sons).

Louisa and Paulena came to the US (MOunt Carmel, PA) about 1880. Louisa married Johan Shultz (born in Konitz, now Chojnitz?)in Prussia and came over with Paulena and her husband, John Seretka. John died in 1891 and Paulena remarried Franc Haick.

Paulena had: Minnie,(married David Shoffstall), Emma, Gustav, Franc Jr, and one or 2 others.

Lousia and Johan had: Augusta (married William Johns), Emma, (married Nicholas Gower of Lewisburg), Fred, Amos (married a Hannah, from Illinois), William, and John Jr. (married Mary
Williams my gr-grandma).

Looking for any living Shultz, Verkofski, or anyone else with ties to any of the above names.

Also interested in anyone who had info about Ilowa.
