Hello. Yes, Jozsef Grof was Jewish and died in Mauthausen in 1944.
I also thought Tapolca was in Zala (I visited the Jewish cemetery there in 1988, and it is near Keszthely, where my father-in-law was born, in Zala county). But every time I enter Tapolca in the Ancestry records, Veszprem comes up as the county. I checked Wikipedia, and they list Veszprem as the county too.
My father-in-law's mother was Francizka Rotschild nee Grof, and she is buried in the Jewish cemetery (d.1940). I would like to know if Jozsef Grof was related to her, perhaps a nephew.
