Classification: Query
Surnames: Rotschild, Rothschild, Rozsa
Researching Rotschild (Rothschild)/Rozsa family in Veszprem, Tapolca in particular. Sandor Rozsa (b. 8 Sept. 1908 in Zalahalap, Zala, Hungary to Samuel and Margit Shonberger Rozsa) was a wholesale grocer before WWII, very successful. Family lore says that he was doing so well in the 1930's that his home's bathroom had tiles with gold leaf, which disappeared (allegedly taken by a relative) while he was an inmate in the Nevek Ghetto in Zala in 1944,

No information on marriage, children, death, etc. Would be interested to know if there are any online business directories for the area the 1930's and '40's that would list his business.

The family's original surname was Rotschild, many if not all changed it to Rozsa around the end of WWI.
