I have the above noted person in my tree, son of Abraham Lotz born in Cawl (?), Germany in 1709 who was the son of Abraham Lotz (b. 1686? Kaiserslautern, Germany Bavaria). Abraham (b. 1686) also had a son Johannes Christian Lotz (b. 1723 - 1800)whose son Georg Nikolaus Lotz (b. 1758) immigrated to the Batschka region in Austria Hundary in 1785.

I note you mentioned this region in your post so I wonder if there is a connection. Unfortunately, I don't know where Johann Heinrich Lotz died but I suspect many from this family immigrated to this region. My line lived there until WWII at which time they were exiled. My father and his parents immigrated to Canada via Bremen, Germany in 1950. Much of the information in my family I have obtained first hand from my grandfather who had collected the information from family and taken it with him when they left. It's my understanding that many records from this area were destroyed.

I have Johann married to Anna Katharine Karm and having a son Johann Jakob Lotz (1781-1852).
