Looking for help tracking my great grandfather back to Hungary. I can trace him forward but not back. Ancestors now go by the name Szigetvary but we are lead to believe that this was the town he came from. His name was Lajos Edvard Eszak Szigetvary born 1860 .He became known as Louis Edward North - Szigetvary or Louis North. We know he left Hungary and went to sea. His Nationalisation say he was a subject of the Empire of Austria. May have gone with other family members but cant find any leads there either. The Imperial Maritime Customs is who he worked for in China from1887-1921.
Any ideas where to look.
