Bob, Thank you for the reply, I tried to send this before, but guess it did not go through. Hope I figure it out this time. I did not find icons to click on very understandable to send.

I cannot find out much about Elizabeth Jane and Peter other than the businesses they had for the years they were married. She died in 1903 I believe. I don't know where I put the copies of that information at the present. I gave the original copies to my father who lives in Oregon. He is 92 now. I believe Peter, Lizzy, and Elnora are all buried in a large cemetary on the northwest part of Springfield. We did not have time to go there. So the family says, my grandfather Wilbur L. Frederick was an only son of an only son. I know that Peter Graham's father was also named Peter and his wife's name was Esther Guinther. Possibly that they lived in Reading, Pa. or even a town named Richland, PA. When Peter and Elizabeth(always refered to as Lizzy in the business directories) were married, Peter G. was listed as over 21 and Lizzy as 18. I gave you July 18 as wedding date but I believe it was July 31, 1886. The license was applied for on July 29 and was recorded on August 24, 1886, vol 12, page no 597. They were married by a Rev. L. A. Yolmald in Springfield. I think that Peter was born Mar. 5, 1863, in Pennslyvania.

They lived at 21 Todd Street in Springfield, apparently at their place of business, a Bretzel (Pretzel) Bakery. There was a David Frederick also living there. I find no other information on him or their relationship. David was not listed as living there the next year. I am guessing he was a relative and helped them get started in the business. I suppose they could have taken over for him. I did not think to check that out in going backward in the business directories.

Peter and Lizzy lived in a number of different places over the years and had a variety of business type listings, but he was often referred to as a baker as well, and in the marriage license when he married Elnora, (Elanora, Nora) Young in 1906, on May 9. Peter was listed as 43 and Elnora as 34. She was a nurse and met Peter when he was in the hospital for a time, I believe with appendicitis. I have a picture of Peter, I believe taken when he was married to Elnora. Lizzy apparently died in 1903 or 1904 as Peter is listed as being alone in 1904 directory. The family says that Wilber went to live with relatives after his mother died, who we don't know. In 1905 Wilber is listed as a clerk living at a different address than his father. In 1906 they were listed at the same address,(the building is still there) and a student. He met my grandmother in Cincinnati and Elnora and Peter were married there, though they got their marriage license in Springfield, Vol. 21, page 299, Issued May 8, recorded May 19, 1906. They were married May 9, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

I have a picture of Elnora, I believe it is, when she was married to Peter. My father believed Nora was his grandmother's name til we found out differently on our trip to Springfield. Elnora was listed as a widow in 1933. Elnora apparently lived til 1944 ot 43. She is nolonger listed in 1944.

There were other Fredericks in Springfield at the time they were there. I don't know if any of them were related.

John W, Wissinger and Peter Fredericks lived at the same address, 226 E. Liberty in at least 1890-93. In 1994-5 Peter was living at 84 W. Washington, Oxtaby Station, where ever that was. I have a list of all the places they lived at if you are interested. They had some of Elnora's relatives living with them in the 1930 Census.

I hope this is not more than you wanted to know. If you have any more information I could use I would appreciate it. I wrote to the Wissingers listed in the Springfield phone book when we were there and only got a reply from one person. A lady that was a Senior Citizen I believe. She said she did not know anything about a Lizzy or Elizabeth. A bit of a disappointment. What is your relationship? or is there any?

Thanks again, Carol Jaeger
