I have been looking for the history of my BILCZE family name.

My grandfather Bilcze Mihaly was born in 1882-83 in A-H Ugocsa megye village of -
Verecze (Verjacja,Veroce Veritzkee)now Ukraine or Kiralyhaza, now Korolevo, Ukraine. Both villages very close. His brother Lazilo migrated from there to Alliance, OH around 1900. Both spelled last name the same.

I thought that there may be families who carry this name in this area today.
Have come up with nothing. I know they were Magyars, not Ukrainians.
It is highly possible that our name comes from the village name BILKE. Some
Possibilities:
BILCE BILKE BILCZE BILECZ BILCZ.

I recieved a phone call from someone in Brooklyn NY claiming to be from Verecze area spelling last name BILCE.

Would someone have a telephone directory of these areas to see if there are
Some BILCE, BIL*** surnames listed? I cannot read Ukrainian Cyrillic.

Any other options to locate my distant relatives is deeply appreciated.
