My GGG Grandfather, Gottfried Golembiewski lived in the village of Riesenkirch, West Prussia (near present day Prabuty), from his marriage to Gottliebe Tchorsch (Tchorz, Tschorsch, Tchors, Torsch) in 1815 until his death in 1860. Although I'm sure he was born in 1790 or 1791, I do not know where. I suspect he could have been born in the Garnsee area, but I also know that there were Golembiewski's who came from the area of Radom and Kielce. Family records say that one of the family members was a general in the Prussian army, who fought Napoleon, which, if true, might have been Gottfried's father. If anyone can help me find his place of birth I will be very grateful.
David
