Classification: Query
Surnames: Glaeser
The immigrant was Ernst Glaeser (born 1852-died 1928) and his wife Paulina (Dondera/Donders/Dondaro) spelled differently on 3 different death certificates for herself and children so not sure.
Father of Ernst on death certificate says Fred Glaeser, and no mother listed.
Paulina his wife- father was Christ Donders??? unsure of correct last name. Mother was Matilda Donke.
The children's names were Elfrieda (Frieda), Marguerite, Arthur, Gertrude, Otto, George, & Martha.
Ernst Glaeser immigrated in 1889. His wife and children came over in 1891 and came through Castle Garden not Ellis Island.
One census record has Breslau listed next to Germany, it's the only document that I have found with anything other than just Germany or Prussia listed. Breslau is in Lower Silesia and is now Wroclaw, Poland.
My dad claims that there were Glaeser relatives that stayed behind and that one owned a toy factory?
