Hello Kristine,
the is a farm in nothern part of Germany: Schwanburg (or Schwonburg). It belongs to Gemeinde and Kirchspiel Esgrus and is located in Schleswig-Holstein.
My ancesters (and me too) lived in Schwanburg from 1829 to 2003. Until 1864 Schwanburg was part of Schleswig, ruled by danish Kingdom. In 1864 Schleswig (and Holstein) were separated from Danemark as a result of Danisch war against people of Schleswig and Holstein, supported by Prussia and Austria. As a result of Prussia-Austria war in 1866 Schleswig and Holstein remainded as a prussian province, 1871 as part of German Reich. Time for some people to leave this contry.
The owner-familiy from Schwanburg is named Lorenzen (from 1829 to 1954), in 1860ies rented by Clementsen.
If you need more information please contact me.
Sincerly
Peter Steffensen
