Surnames: TIMMER, EIKHOF, GERLING, RELLER, RELLERHENRICH, WESTKAEMPER
Looking for any connection to the above mentioned surnames. All are from the Delbrück and Paderborn areas.
These are my earliest connections:
Timmer, Franz Herman b: appx 1784
Eikhof, Elisabeth wife of Franz Timmer
Gerling, Anna Maria married Benedict Timmer in 1851
Reller, aka Rellerhenrich, Stefan married Catharina Timmer sister to Benedict.
Westkaemper, Conrad from Paderborn married the daughter of
Benedict Timmer in MN. Would have been born about 1850.

Hope someone has a connection!

Please contact me, we are most certainly related. My father, Rudolph Stephen Reller was the son of George Reller Sr. who was the son of Johan Stephan Rellerhenrich and Catherine Timmer. Am most anxious to hear from you.

Kathleen,
I have alot more information now than in 2000. Additionally since that time I have visited Delbruck. Eikhof is in my direct line, maybe we should compare notes??

Let me know and maybe I have some help for you.
Karen

I really don't have much info. I'm just starting again. There were five brothers. My grandfather, Rudplph Christian, came to the US around 1915...another brother Otto, went to Chile ...another to Brazil all around the same time...ibe was Ship's Captain...the youngest, Ernst, stayed in Hamburg and owned an Insurance Company...I think he was quite a soccer player in his youth.... Somewhere along the way I know I came across the name Timmer...but never put it together. I never knew my grandfather...He died before I was born. Isn't there some farm called "Eikhof".

Hello Kathleen,
I am a bit confused by your post. What is the surname of the brothers you talked about in your post?? My Timmer relatives were in Delbrück, Westphalia from 1800 (if not much earlier) to present day I am quite sure. One set immigrated in 1852 (my line) and one set in 1870 (sister and a nephew of my direct line). Where is the Eikhof farm that you are talking about?? Farms were named for their owners so I am sure there was one.

If you could answer these questions perhaps I could help you further??

My Father was Herbert Reller, he was the son of Anton Reller who was the youngest son of franz Stephen Rellerhenenrich (Frank S. Reller)
Frank was the son of Johan Stephen Rellerhenrich and Catherine Maria Timmer.

As far back as I was able to go so far has been Johannes Linnenkamp, called Johannes Jager, he was born in 1660 (Reitberg, Germany) He was married to Clara Angela Jager she died at the Jager farm in Germany in Sept 13th 1747 at 80 years old. He died at age 72 April 9th 1732. they had 5 children.

Hi James,
Wow I had forgotten this note was out there. Hello Cousin!

How did you push back further on your research? I would love to hear of your ancestral lines. It has been a good many years since I talked to a very asute Reller researcher but she had discovered the Rellers came to the Reller surname via a farm and were in fact another surname. I know when I visited there in 2001 there were many Reller references to this day. Osterrellermann St. and Westerrellerman St. and Westerrelleman chapel etc. Guess there were two lines the East and West and then because Rellerhenrich via a Westerrellerman by the name of Heinrich. Doing this from memory so there may be slight errors but you get the gist I am sure.

I still have some acorns from the old oak tree at the Blome farm where Benedict and Catherina Timmer were born. It is still owned by the Blome family amazingly enough. The farm house had burned down the year my ancestor immigrated so the house is from 1852 but the barn is older. It was an amazing experience.

If you would like to email me direct, please email "europatb at iowatelecom.net" replacing the "at" with an "@" symbol.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Karen
