I am looking for relations who exist although I don't know who you are, or how many there are. My ggg-grandfather was Bernard Schwieters who was born in 1777, in Westphalia. He fought in Napoleons army, and then for General Blucher of Prussia in the overthrow of Napoleon.He had seven sons from his first marriage, with six of them joining the German army, and one becoming a notary public. Of these six, two went to France, one to fight in Algiers and the other three are thought to have gone to America. Bernard then remarried and had three more children, two sons and a daughter. Alexander, (my gg grandfather)Henry and Bertha. Alex came to New Zealand and we have no idea what happened to the others, except that Bertha was a governess to a titled gentleman. Bernard had two brothers, Jerome and Godfrey. If you think you may be related, I would love to hear from you.
