I am researching Ferdinand J. Zahn who left Germany/Prussia/Pommern and arrived in New York on 19 Apr 1869 on the ship, Weser. He came to Milwaukee, WI. He married Emilie Wille on 24 Oct 1875 in Milwaukee, WI. I am curious if anyone is researching Ferdinand J. Zahn? I am trying to find out the town that he came from in Germany/Prussia/Pommern. On his marriage records (church & state), it says that he was from Groinnow or Privenow, Pommern. I am having trouble finding those towns on old German/Poland maps.
