Looking for any info on the family of Diedrich (d. abt. 1841)and Marie (nee Biermann) Hahne. Their children immigrated from Hanover, Germany in 1850 to the Chicago area. The children are HENRY (eldest), EMMA, FREDERICK, MARY, LOUIS, and WILLIAM (my gggrandfather). William was born on 2/2/1834 in Hanover, GE. See http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilbiog/whahne.htm for bio. I don't know if this will help, but it looks to me like there may be a connection. My Ggrandma's name was Mina Weigel. She was the daughter of William (Wilhelm) Weigel and Maria Hahne. Maria was born in Wimmer, Hanover, Germany, May 19, 1844. She is the daughter of F. Hahne (Frederick?) and Elsabein Wulfman. She had at least one brother, Henry. She came to America at age 11--so about 1855. The Hahne that live in and around Nashville, IL are of the same family. I'm just starting to research so this is all I have. Hope it helps. Wulfmann family arrived Plum Hill, Washington County, IL 1848 from Wimmer. Left Germany as Wulf and recorded New Orleans as Wulft. Johan Friederich Wulf was born Hoerdinghausen which is near Wimmer and adjacent to Dahlinghausen where the name Wulfmann is found. His wife was Marie Elenore Ankesheil born Wimmer parents born Rabber. All in parish of Lintorf. All those in N America bearing Wulfman name are descended from them thru their only son Rev.
