Looking for decendants of Ludwig Horman
of New York City who was born Hermann Ludwig
Hormann (sic) in Du:ring, Loxstedt. Province
of Hanover (then Kingdom of Hanover).
He married Babette Veyl in New York City
about 1901. I have some info on his
ancestors in Loxstedt.

I am descended from an Augustus Horman who came to the US in the 1830's from the then Kingdom of Hannover. Augustus brought over his wife and daughter three years later and settled in the Frederick MD area. Do you know if Ludwig and Augustus might be related?

Ludwig was from the Kingdom of Hanover also but
he was born in 1869. In Germany his last name
was spelled Hormann. Du:ring, Parish of Loxstedt,
Province of Hanover. His father was Hermann Heinrich
Hormann born Sept 16, 1843 in Weitzen. And his
father was Hinrich Hormann. My grandfather's
complete baptismal name was Heinrich Ludwig Hormann

Our families actually live close to each other.
I grew up around D.C. After I got started in geneology
I was invited to a family gathering of your clan in
Frederick. Being smarter than I am now, I did not go. :(
Now I realize that we might have some kinship
knowing where your grandfather is from. I suppose you
have some cousins living around Baltimore.
Du"ring is near Bremehaven.
Hope this hels.
Hope to hear from you at my email address.
