Meaning:
Johann Ludwig Wehr, born 18.03.1836 in Osnabrück. At the time of his emigration, his profession was waiter. His parents were already dead (and had died several years ago). He went to Australia on 17.04.1855. And the interesting remark:
The parents have 7 children, 2 of them are minor. The eldest brother
Ernst Wilhelm emigrated in 1846 to Australia. 4 years ago he sent for his brother
Johann Heinrich and now he also sent his brother
Johann Ludwig the money for the travel expenses.
You can also find entries for the elder brothers here:
http://aidaonline.niedersachsen.de/You should perhaps contact the local church registers to find more about their parents... As they were from Osnabrück they might have been catholic ????
