The name Truettner (present) has had many spellings. A Frederich Trutner and his wife, Margaretha, with their two children left Bremen aboard the Isabella and arrived in New York in August, 1845. It has been said that Frederich may have changed his name but I thought searching for his wife, Margaretha Biermann, born 23 May 1815 in the Kingdom of Hanover according to the ship's passenger list might be more fruitful. I have a letter from a Borstel and another source mentions Vesstal as a possible place they may have lived. About 1850 they began a Methodist church in Wisconin. As you can tell, I am a novice in genealogy. Any information would be appreciated.
