I have ran into this name quite often in Ellis Island records. Where exactly is it and is this the correct spelling?
I am trying to locate a Mary Tara who came to America in 1904. I have a possible hit but not with the first name Mary. But the first name Paraszka fits with the dispute of her maiden name being Para (which it isn't).
My Husband's family history has it that his Great Grandparents came from the same small village in Austria but didn't meet until they both got to the US.
His Great Grandfather Bogden lists Bialybor as his hometown while this other person I am looking at lists the above named place.
If this isn't the correct girl I am searching for then I am back to square one again.

write the name CIEPLICE in the empty frame under word "Miejscowosc" (on the right and up) and You`ll see 8 localities.

There are 5 CIEPLICE on the one area (on the east of RZESZOW): it seems that it is one CIEPLICE-area where are several small "parts", sections of this CIEPLICE.
The main is CIEPLICE "wies, 740 osob, woj.podkarpackie, pow.przeworski, gmina Adamowka" - it means: "village, 740 persons, Podkarpackie-Province, Przeworsk-district, Adamowka-rural commune". And the next "parts" of this CIEPLICE are (on this map):
Cieplice Dolne (22 persons) - "Dolne" means "Lower"
Cieplice Gorne (22 persons) - "Gorne" means "Upper"
Cieplice (5 persons)
Cieplice Dln (3 persons) ["Dln" it is the abbreviation from "Dolne"]


Other CIEPLICE are: near Krakow, near Gdansk and on the west of Poland.


And write BIALY BOR - there are 3 BIALY BOR. This second, near the town RZESZOW, is on the area which was Austrian region (after partitions of Poland in XVIIIcent.), it was the part of the historical region called Galicia ("Galicja" in Polish).

Other BIALY BOR are on the area of:
1. Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province (near Bydgoszcz and Torun)
2.Zachodnio-Pomorskie Province (between Szczecin and Gdansk on this map)

My grandparents have this town listed as well. My uncle listed it as Cieplice Poland and his brother my grandfater listed it as Austria. It may have just been what was a better answer in the day. I am assuming that it is Cieplice Poland. they were Russian not Polish but many people on the ship they arrived on were listed as from Galicia and Ceiplice. Try Poland.
