I have hit a road block in trying to find out information originating in Galicia about my Polish great-grandfather, Joseph Konieczny. I know from US census records (1900, 1910, 1920, 1930, in Elmira, NY and Rochester, NY) that he came from Galicia in 1883, but I have been unable to find any birth, marriage, or passenger list records telling me who his parents were and more precisely where he grew up. Here is what I do know:

---Joseph Konieczny---
Polish, Roman Catholic
Born: March 1869 in Galicia/Austria/Poland (Krakow?)
Immigrated to USA in 1883 (could also possibly be 1889)
Marriage 1: to sister of Katherine Przydryga, year unkown, first name unknown, location unknown
Marriage 2: Katherine Przydryga, 1897, USA (PA or NY?)
Died: Feb 1946 in Rochester, NY, USA

---Katherine Przydryga (wife)---
Polish, Roman Catholic;
Born: May 1875 in Posen/Germany/Poland;
Immigrated to USA ca. 1882;
Marriage: Joseph Konieczny, 1897, USA (PA or NY?);
Died: in Rochester, NY, USA ca. 1970;
Children: Frances, Stanley, Martha, Josephine, Celia, Zigmond, Anthony.

---John Przydryga (father-in-law)---
Polish, Roman Catholic;
Born: Jan 1822 in Posen/Germany/Poland;
Immigrated to USA ca. 1882;
Marriage: Mary (Tomczak?) Przydryga, 1874, Posen/Germany/Poland;
Died: in Rochester, NY, USA between 1900 and 1920.

---Mary (Tomczak?) Przydryga (mother-in-law)---
Polish, Roman Catholic;
Born: May 1875 in Posen/Germany/Poland;
Immigrated to USA ca. 1882;
Marriage: John Przydryga, 1874, Posen/Germany/Poland;
Died: in Rochester, NY, USA between 1920 and 1930.
---

I would really appreciate any help you could give me in trying to locate records.

Thank you in advance for your time!

Steve Konezny

My great grandfather is Joseph Konieczny. His son, Anthony Konieczny who is my grandfather, Howard Konieczny who is my father. I unfortunately am unable to locate any records either regarding my great grandfather's parents. If you have come across anything let me know as I continue to search.

Thanks,
Kayse
