Can anyone help me. I am trying to find any records pertaining to the Beniuk - Radowiec - Kapusta families. They were located in Tartakow, Galacia (sokol). My grandfather's name was Michael Beniuk. He married Tacyjuana Kapusta. His sister Tekla Beniuk married Dmitro Radowic. My grandfather received a letter some time ago from his niece, Maria Sadowska. I also know my grandmother, Tacyjuana, parents were Anthony Kapusta and her Mother's maiden name was Mary Huk or Huik. My grandfather's parents were Daniel Beniuk and Mary (Unknown). I am very much interested in finding out how I can obtain records on births, marriages and deaths.

http://mapa.szukacz.pl is not locating a village Tartakow in Poland so than it is in Ukraine. I would suggest you post on Galicia's and Ukraine's Ancestry board. Just looked in LDS-Mormons site and it seems they have filmed Roman Catholic church records of Tartakow, Poland now Tartakiv, Ukraine.

I am looking for information on my Grandfather that was also born in the Sokal Region of Galica.. in about 1879. I have no information if he had any sisters or relitives there.
