I have been searching for information on the Ballwanz family and can not find anything. I was told that they lived in KONGISBURG in a place called GROSSWITFELD in EAST PRUSSIA. It would have been a large family all in the Prussian Army, with 1 in the Prussian Navy.

If anyone has any information on them or where else to look i would greatly appreciate it. It is for my grandfather and he is getting very old. I just want to be able to tell him we found where your family came from.

Hello, I finally read your message...hope this finds you well!

Anything that you can offer would be a huge help, as i can not find them anywhere!! It appears that my great-grandfather was dropped in Baltimore Maryland in the early 1900's.

I am originally from Maryland, where most of the Ballwanz's still are.
