For some reason my family has the idea that they came from an area near Bavaria. I have been thinking that perhaps in 1910 Germany had spread it's border to include the area in question.

I have a little porcelin figurine of bluebirds that my gr grandmother Antonia had brought with her aboard the ship. It's the ony thing she had brought from the homeland. It's stamped "Germany" on the bottom. I guess that doesn't mean much. It must have been an imported item.
