I was just drawing a parellel between the other Wohlman family and mine. In the case of my family I only have the two parents statements of origin where they came from...1880 = Bohemia, 1900 = Germany, 1910 = Austria. T I think they could have been talking about different things at different times. Maybe when they said German they meant that was their ethnic orgin or when they said Austria they meant from the Austrian Empire. They must have been confused with all the changes going on in Europe.

I have looked at a lot of maps, and nothing is clear to me. I think I must find the name of a specific town so it's a matter of finding what church the would have gone to. I don't even know what year they died. I have asked volunteers from Huron Co. to look for my Wohlman's in obits, or in cemetaries, or in death records but they have never found them.
