Sorry I haven't responded sooner. I was hoping to discover something of your wife's ggf in my records, but don't seem to have anything about her family in Hinje. What I've discovered from several visits to the Ljubljana church archive is that there were many Papez families in Hinje and neighboring Ambrus parishes. In some of these small villages, maybe 20% of the households were named Papez. My ggf was from the Ambrus parish town of Brezovi Dol.

I hope to return to Ljubljana next summer and can offer to search for Katherine at that time. Where did Katherine settle upon entry to the U.S.? Do you know if she may have had other Papez relatives here?
